Cheshire based Pluspoint is set to expand its service offering to South Wales. The company supplies fully managed professional service solutions for manufacturing quality issues and works with tier one and major UK based OEMs.

It provides quality control professionals as well as a comprehensive quality protection service at point of fit, upstream to the point of manufacture and downstream to finished stocks. Operating successfully in the UK since 2008, this recent announcement comes at a time of expansion for the company which declared the launch of an Indian trade mission last month.

Welsh automotive sector

The automotive landscape in Wales has experienced a boost in recent years with a particular boom in South Wales. The country has attracted major manufacturers and brands such as Aston Martin and Mark Sweeney, Director of Plus Point sees it as a strategic move for his business.

The automotive industry in South Wales has benefited from a lot of funding and as a result has attracted many large and small companies to the region. As part of Plus Point’s development program we want to ensure that we are offering the same level of service to our clients and by opening an office in South Wales we are able to do just that.

Plus Point has been working with various authoritative bodies within the region and has made the decision to open a new office in Cardiff. As a result of the move it is estimated that the Plus Point will create new job opportunities within the automotive sector. Mark goes on to say:

We wanted to open in a strategic location and after working the Welsh Automotive Forum we decided that having an office in Cardiff was the best fit. It will allow Plus Point to attract with a collection of quality auditing technicians and offer clients a responsive and effective service throughout the country. We already have agreements with many companies within the region as we operate throughout the UK but we’re hoping to create more jobs with this expansion.
