Plus Point Quality’s (Plus Point) Mark Sweeney is a finalist in the prestigious British Quality Foundation (BGF) awards for 2018. The nominations were announced recently with the Managing Director making the finalists alongside two others.
Mark is a contender for the Emerging Business Improvement and Transformational Leader award, a fantastic personal accolade which indicates the positive impact he’s made to improving quality in his organisation and Plus Point’s clients.
Mark said, “at a personal level I’m absolutely thrilled to be nominated. We set out this year to improve business processes and quality for Plus Point and our clients. It’s been a transformational year for the company as we continued growing our quality control service and launched our CPD accredited Plus Point Improvement Programme. I’m looking forward to the event.”
The BQF award recognises an individual at the early stages in their career who has made an exceptional contribution in their organisation. They have demonstrated the potential, ability and ambition to go above and beyond starting to drive change and transformation within their business in a single strand, project or department.
Plus Point has experienced phenomenal growth in the previous 12 months, doubling its turnover. It has reinvested its profits back into the business, launching the Plus Point Improvement Programme, a CPD accredited training programme designed to upskill those working in the manufacturing industry.
The 25th anniversary BQF awards ceremony will be held in the esteemed Guildhall, attended by business leader, entrepreneurs and charities. Taking place on 15th March 2018 it will be hosted by Jake Humphrey from BT Sport.
